Christmas Eve Offering: Christian Life Home

For several years now, our church has collected an offering during our Christmas Eve worship service. This offering is not for the ministries of Forest Hills, but rather, a partner ministry that is working to meet real, tangible needs both locally and around the world. Two years ago, we supported Living Water International and their work to provide clean drinking water to millions around the world. Last year, we supported Welcome House Raleigh and Church World Service, two local organizations who assist refugee families as they resettle to our area.

This year, we’re proud to announce that our ministry partner for this year’s Christmas Eve offering is Christian Life Home.

Located here in Raleigh, Christian Life Home provides a Christ-centered, loving, family atmosphere for young women, ages 10 - 23, in an unplanned or crisis pregnancy.  Since 1988, Christian Life Home has served the needs of hundreds of pregnant women with compassion and guidance to receive care, counseling and life-skills training.

As we reflect on the Christmas story through the eyes of Mary, we come to realize that the chosen vessel for God's greatest gift, Jesus Christ, was a young, unprepared, teenage mother. Realizing the great faith placed in the hands of such a woman, we're proud to support these young women who are turning to Christian Life Home for the skills, love, and care needed to prepare them for the birth of their children.
