Welcome House Raleigh wants to share the joy of Christmas with refugees who have come through their ministry this year and they need our help! Individuals, families, and Sunday School classes are encouraged to make Christmas Bags from November 28 to December 12 which contain fun items along with everyday essentials. Most importantly, when these gifts are given, Welcome House Raleigh will also provide the story of the Life of Jesus in every bag. This message is offered in multiple languages so that all our friends may hear the Good News of Christmas in their heart language!

Deadline for completed Christmas Bags is Sunday, December 12. Completed bags can be dropped off in the Gathering Place beneath the Library windows. A list of suggested items to include in each bag is listed below:

  • Start by providing 1 large reusable bag.
  • Christmas Card with Christian message (keep unsealed - don't lick it!).
  • $100 gift card to Wal-Mart (or Visa gift card that can be used anywhere).
  • Vegetable oil.
  • Moisturizing soap (like Dove).
  • Liquid clothes detergent.
