Why do we baptize? Just as a sign of our public confession of faith and to gain church membership, or is it something more? What does baptism do? Nothing, something … everything?
Baptism is a life-changing covenant that calls us to live deeply into the pattern of death and resurrection in every area of life. When we are baptized, we are called to walk in the newness of life and to take off our old self, clothing ourselves with Christ.
Paul Taulman will lead this workshop on Saturday Oct. 19 from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM. It will provide a Biblical understanding of baptism including some of its Old Testament roots, give a deeper appreciation of how baptism can impact our lives, and renew God’s call for us to walk in the newness of life (Rom 6:4).
