Using Wednesday night teaching time wisely, this past week, International Ministry hosted an American Cultural Event-Valentine's Day. We filled room E-260 with 50 people, who were sitting down and making Valentine cards. For many, it was truly a first. Then Simoni sang a love song in Italian, then the Chinese led their group singing a love song, and the Iranians, accompanied by drum, sang for us. Hope Christian and Barbara Martin led the English valentine songs. We ate, pasted, stamped, ribboned and had a great fellowship. Even though it was definitely shoulder to shoulder, it was really fun. Then, back to the mundane of learning English in class. God has blessed this ministry in so many ways. Thank you Forest Hills.
Thank You Luncheon, February 24
The Interim Steering Team invites you to a lunch in the Fellowship Hall at the close of the morning worship services on February 24. This luncheon will provide an opportunity for the IST to do at least three things:
- To say "THANK YOU" to you, the congregation, for your investment and participation in the five focus points of the interim process, Heritage, Mission and Vision, Leadership, Connections, and Future.
- To offer feedback to you on the pastoral profile survey and to make a final report to you regarding the work you have done.
- To update you on what to look forward to in coming weeks and months from the two implementation teams (Staff and Lay) and from the Pastor Search Committee.
Valentine Cookie Project
The Valentine Cookie Project was a huge success, and we thank everyone who participated. We packaged 428 bags and shared an expression of love and kindness to many individuals, as well as , many organizations.

Ashley deeply desires for women who are mature in their walk with the Lord to reach out and disciple the next generation of believers in the things of God.

Financial Planning Sub-Committee News
Excitement is building at FHBC about our expansion and upgrades in the Five Points Area. As plans move forward our team is seeking your input as to naming our newly constructed space. We want to hear from you, please make a "Name" suggestion to the church office, or e-mail one of the following Financial Planning sub-committee team members: Dora Cornwell at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Taylor Freeman at email@example.com. We look forward to hearing your ideas!
Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network
It's time again for us to show our hospitality to the families being served through Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network, an organization of area churches pulling together to support homeless families that are determined to be self-reliant again. We will partner with West
Raleigh Presbyterian Church during the week of March 17 - March 24. Meals, van drivers and overnight hosts are needed, as well as abled bodies to help with bed set up and breakdown. Begin to talk with your Sunday School class about this. Perhaps God is calling you to this ministry opportunity. Perhaps He's calling your class to serve in this way. Our help is needed Sunday, March 17; Monday, March 18: Wednesday, March 20; Saturday, March 23; and Sunday, March 24. Call, email or see George Allen if you have questions or are wanting to reserve your spot! Gallen2@nc.rr.com or 919 961 2660.
