Welcome To The Wyatt Family!
The FHBC Missionary Residence Team invites you to help us welcome Marc and Kim Wyatt and their family to our missionary house for a brief stay. The Wyatts anticipate moving in on July 1 or 2 and departing on August 14, 2014. This family lived in our missionary house in 2001. Their daughter, Rebecca, actively participated in our college ministry while attending Meredith College. Jon Marc, their son, is a rising sophomore at Gardner-Webb University.
Marc and Kim became CBF global missions field personnel in 1996. They served initially in Thailand and then moved to Canada for fifteen years of ministry with refugees in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. They'll continue their work with internationals in a new setting later this summer as they head to San Diego, California. The Wyatts will work with churches, missions organizations, and individuals ministering to internationals, including refugees, students, and immigrants enslaved by human trafficking, along the Pacific Southwest Border of our country.
Marc and Kim are both graduates of Wingate University. They worked in churches and schools in North Carolina and Virginia before their employment with CBF. Kim earned a Master of Education degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Marc has a Master of Divinity with Christian Education degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Each year, DeepImpact collects a Mission Offering. Over the summer, as Deep Impact participants our youth will have the opportunity to provide hunger relief to children all over the world through funding
· Cape Town - Barcelona Orphanage - money will be sent to provide protein to children's daily diets
· Cuba - Retirement Home Farm - money will be sent to purchase fruit trees, such as papaya, banana, plantain, guava and mango for ongoing food needs to those living at the retirement home and for children, youth and their families in the surrounding community.
· India - HIV and Compassion Children's Home - money will be sent to provide food for 30 children who are HIV+ for up to 1 year.
· NC - Money will be sent to food agencies that provide fresh fruit and vegetables to those that provide food to children and youth.
Each Sunday, the youth will be in Gathering Place between Sunday School and Worship to collect monies for the Deep Impact Mission Offering. Checks can be made out to FHBC with Deep Impact Mission Offering in the memo.
Will you help Forest Hills Youth and Deep Impact reach $20,000 this summer to provide hunger relief?

Welcome & Registration Team Forming
2-4 People Needed
Did you ever want to experience international missions but were uncertain if you had the time or talent? Let me assure you, you are talented and your gifted-ness is needed!
Welcome the world on the 3rd floor every Sunday morning! The International Ministry is seeking to establish a team of 2-4 people who can rotate to help with welcome and registration each Sunday morning.
Weekly, we have new folks from far off lands joining our Sunday ESL / Bible classes. On their first visit, a registration form is completed on arrival. For most, this is their first experience with "church" - so a smiling face and warm, hospitable welcome goes a long way to open the doors of the church and heart.
YOU are needed to help welcome and set-up the International Ministry welcome center from 9:00-9:30am on Sundays. Contact Barbara Martin , Glenda Reece, or Jason Payne to explore this ministry opportunity.
Ramadan Prayer Opportunity
Since 1993 Christians around the world have been specifically praying for Muslims during the month of Ramadan. The Farsi Fellowship is asking Forest Hills to commit to pray for Muslims to come to Christ during these 30 days. Many Muslims are truly seeking God during Ramadan. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal Jesus to them.
This year Ramadan is from June 28 to July 27. If you would like more information or booklets to pray specifically, you can visit this website: www.worldchristian.com.
Watch this video to learn more about welcoming and praying for our international neighbors.
The World Is At Our Corner
Last Tuesday evening, in preparation for an International Ministry Team(s) meeting, Savanna helped and placed an order with the Subway on the corner of Dixie Trail.I hurried to pick up sandwiches, and God presented an opportunity. While picking up the order, a conversation was struck with the manager Meesa. She was very interested to hear about the International Ministry at Forest Hills, and knew the location of our church well, only two blocks away. She said that a young Iraqi woman who worked for her in a few Subway locations could really benefit from English classes.I provided a flier and contact information that she will share with the woman.
Wow - A ministry outreach right on our corner!Pray for this Iraqi woman working at Subway, that her heart would be touched by the Lord and that she might start visiting Forest Hills to first meet her need for English, and then a door to her heart would open, and Christ would be invited in!
What opportunities is God presenting you in the international world on your corner? Could you invite someone to Forest Hills, or offer to pray for them?Opportunities are all around us to share the Love of Christ in a real and practical way with an eternal impact!
Prayer for Congo Mission Trip

Communion Plates for Congo Mission Trip
Do you have or know of Communion Service Plates that could be donated for the Mission Trip to Congo? If you have or know of plates that can be donated please contact Pastor Ngoma Masiala or Jason Payne as soon as possible.
