2015 Evening With Friends
Want to enjoy a sit down dinner served by your Forest Hills youth and a silent auction? Then you need to plan to attend the 2015 Evening With Friends event on March 7 at 6:00 pm. Evening With Friends is an annual funding raising event for Youth Ministry and Missions. This year the youth group will be traveling to Fort Caswell, NC and Atlanta, Ga on mission trips as well as several camps for retreats throughout the year. The proceeds from Evening With Friends will help defray some of the costs of these and other youth ministry activities. You can participate and support your FHBC Youth by making plans to attend this year's event and by donating items for the silent auction. Tickets for the event cost $17.50 and will be on sale in the Gathering Place on Sundays before and after worship. Scott Green, acoustical guitarist, will be back by popular demand to provide entertainment.
Donations for the silent auction are being collected now. Donations can include custom crafts, vacation homes, dinners, personal services (photography shoots, yard work, handyman work, etc.), art work, photography, tickets to sporting events, business services or gift certificates. Please fill out a donation form and drop your donation off at the church office by March 1. Please contact Derek Graham or Paul Smith if you have any questions. On behalf of the Youth group, Thank you for your generous support of Youth Ministry.

Chinese New Year
You are welcome to join us for a Chinese New Year Celebration in the Dining Hall on February 22nd after worship. The Chinese Church will prepare a delicious luncheon meal, our Evergreen class will display their crafts, present a Chinese folk dance, and translate your names into Chinese. This year is the year of the Sheep/Goat/Ram.
If your birthday falls on these dates then you have the Chinese sign of the Sheep/Goat/Ram:
One way we meet additional needs of our neighbors is by offering child care during Wednesday night classes. Please pray about helping out as a substitute "Kids International Team" helper from 7:00p-7:45pm on Wednesday nights. This is a rotating position with two other helpers. Have you ever wanted to use your gifts of working with children and experience international ministry?
Did you know that last year the garden on our church campus produced hundreds of pounds of fresh vegetables for people in need? If you're interested in being a part of a great ministry this summer, search Facebook for the "FHBC Community Garden" group or click here.
Thank You From Tyler And Louisa
Friends, words cannot express the overwhelming gratitude that Louisa and I feel for the wonderful shower last week. The outpouring of love for us and our families was beyond anything we could have imagined and we're especially grateful for the love that you showed to our parents. From the decorations, to the cake, to all of the special hugs and meaningful gifts - thank you. Thank you for loving us, thank you for welcoming us into this amazing church family, and thank you for for praying for us as we begin our new life together.
