Serving Opportunities

1 Peter 4 tells us, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.”

At Forest Hills, we believe that God is praised through our service. We can only reach our full song of praise when everyone is serving in some way, so we want everyone to be giving back to our church community and to our city. Check out some of the opportunities below for some ways you can be involved. If you're interested in meeting these needs, or if you have ideas about other ways you'd like to serve, contact Andrew (

  • Children's Ministry: Volunteers care for preschool children during the worship hour, so that parents can focus on worship.

  • Hospitality: You can welcome people to our church with a warm meal on Wednesday nights. Servers are always needed!

  • Raleigh Rescue Mission: Our partners at the Raleigh Rescue Mission serves the homeless community through the love of Christ; there are many ways you can partner with them.

  • Guest Relations: You may have first connected with Forest Hills by meeting someone on our welcome team on a Sunday morning. You can be one of those friendly faces who puts our guests at ease and helps them find what they need for either traditional worship or contemporary worship.
