Frequently Asked Questions

What Should I Wear on Sundays?

With people ranging in age from infants all the way into their 90s, you’ll see a lot of different styles here on Sunday mornings. Come in whatever you're comfortable in!

Do We Have Small Groups?

Yes! We believe that growth (spiritual and otherwise) best happens in community and we provide two different types of small groups for people to be a part of. We offer Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings before worship. We also offer Life Groups during the week which meet throughout the greater Raleigh area. To learn more about these groups, please click here.

What Is There For My Kids?

Our church wouldn’t be complete without children and youth! Our ministers and volunteers do a great job to provide meaningful and engaging opportunities for children and youth each week throughout the year. To learn more about these opportunities, please visit our children or youth ministry pages.

What Do We Believe About Women and Men?

We take Galatians 3:28 seriously. “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Because of that, we believe that all people are equipped to be on mission for Christ. We’re proud to be a church that affirms women and men in ordained ministry and in all aspects of church leadership.

What Does It Mean to Be “Baptist”?

A lot of churches nowadays don’t include their denomination in their church name. However, we feel it’s important to identify as a Baptist church because doing so best explains who we are and how we function as a church. In a nutshell, Baptist churches are all about “freedom.” To learn more about these freedoms, please check out this helpful article for a simple summary.

How Do I Join Forest Hills?

Just so you know, this isn’t a country club. Membership isn’t measured in dollars, but in our shared commitment to this community of faith where God is at the center of everything we do. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to understand what membership at Forest Hills looks like and why you should seriously consider joining our family of faith. During the year, we hold several "Forest Hills 101" sessions on Sunday morning where prospective members can come and learn more about our church and what membership here entails. Please join us for one of these sessions if you're interested, or feel free to reach out to our Senior Pastor, Mark White (mark@foresthills.org).
